Hi, I’m Karen—your go-to gentle groomer behind @softgroomer! With 12 years of hands-on experience, I specialize in low stress grooming for both seniors and anxious furry clients. 

I have a special touch with coloring creativity and adding a splash of art . I’m certified in canine skin and coat care, so I focus not just on the look, but the long-term health of your dog’s coat. My approach is all about patience, empathy, and building trust. 

My favorite breeds are a challenge to pick, but they would be Pomeranians and Yorkie terriers. My future dream would be to compete and have a seminar in helping local clients or beginner dog groomers to challenge their minds in creating a bond with dogs on their tables.

My career as a dog groomer began with a desire to help as many fur babies get accustomed and comfortable with grooming, especially when they’re young.

My passion allows me the patience to help a dog get over bad experiences with love, attentiveness and care. To keep up with trends and my grooming skills in tip-top shape, I attend expos and classes regularly. My favorite are curly haired dogs, but big or small doesn’t matter. I love them all.

My goal is to have dogs and pet owner smiling and wagging tails with a great grooming session experience with me!

I’ve had a passion for animals all my life. I always knew I wanted to work with animal’s one way or another, I just never knew exactly what career.

One day I decided to quit the Corporate world and pick up a scissor and become a professional dog groomer. I attended American Grooming Academy, NYC in 2020 and I learned from there how to properly and safely groom cats and dogs with love and patience. I knew this career was for me when my instructor told me, “It looks like you didn’t quit your job for just anything because this is your passion.” With time, my grooms got so much better and I love seeing it in the Pet parents faces! I love to see each pet feel safe under my care, knowing I will sing and give them extra kisses and hugs during their grooming session with me.

I wanted to open a shop that was safe for all animals and for pet groomers who share the same passion as I. I can successfully say, I did that with the help of my family.
